The Facehugger , known taxonomically as Manumala noxhydria and designated "Stage 1" Xenomorph by Weyland-Yutani scientists and "Stage 2" by other sources , is a parasitoid form of the species Xenomorph XX that hatches from an Ovomorph. It is the second stage in the Xenomorph's life cycle , and exists solely to implant a Chestburster within a living host creature via their mouth. As such, it has no real offensive capabilities beyond an ability to spit acid , which is generally only used to gain access to hosts and not for attack and must rely on stealth, surprise or their victims being previously immobilized by an attacker to achieve implantation. Notably, a Facehugger dies shortly after its task has been completed. The Facehugger greatly resembles a pair of skeletal hands fused together, with a spine-like tail.

I can't believe they got away with that facehugger!

From whether Cosby can be tried again to why, exactly the court decided to overturn the star's conviction, here's what you need to know. Sex and film go together like sex and dressing rooms or sex and portable toilets. And a lot of times it's pretty awesome, like in the cinematic tour de force that is Joanna Angel's entire career. But there's something even more insidious than a Willem Dafoe BJ on a scary tree, or Lea Thompson fucking a duck, and that's the subtle and generally-less-than-subtle symbolism that filmmakers will toss into movies that aren't even about sex. Sexual imagery is amazing at eliciting a physical and emotional response from a viewer, one that probably mixes arousal and revulsion. Why revulsion?

Top definition. The "facehugger" is a creature that as created by the artist H. Giger in the "Alien" movies. Facehuggers typically lie dormant in eggs until they sense the movement of a possible host, at which point they hatch.
In the movies, the only limitations to creature design are effects technology and the human imagination. And, it turns out, the human imagination returns, with reassuring regularity, to humanity's bathing suit area. Intentionally and otherwise, the most memorable on-screen monsters frequently get a little Freudian. Below are some of my personal favorites.
